Quality Records Ltd was founded in Toronto in 1950, the company pressed and distributed music from various US labels and a number of independent Canadian labels as well its own. If ever a label name presented a benchmark to hit, then it was Quality. Including the likes of Chuck Jackson, Del Shannon, Etta James and The Crystals, this compilation majors on the earliest years of the Sixties from both sides of the North American divide, when the charts were at their most eclectic.
