Die Geschichte von BBE Records begann 1996 mit der Veröffentlichung der gefeierten “Stop and Listen” Serie, mit der Maßstäbe gesetzt wurden für spätere Reihen wie z.B. die “Late Night Tales” mit Compilern wie Masters At Work. Auf seiner nun schon 15jährigen Reise hat das Label immer weiter musikalisches Neuland erobert, sowie vergessene und verlorengeglaubte Schätze freigelegt. Unter dem Motto “real music for real people” brachte BBE seitdem über 160 Compilations und Artistalben heraus. Die Vielfalt an Sounds und Styles ist dabei geradezu schwindelerregend und folgt doch einem roten Faden: von Funk und Soul, über Disco und Latin, bis hin zu House und Hip Hop und darüber hinaus… Bei dieser breiten Auswahl sollte für jeden einiges dabei sein, das Lust macht auf mehr, auf weitere 15 Jahre mit BBE…
