Leader of The Heartbreakers and formerly guitarist for the New York Dolls, punk icon Johnny Thunders recorded a solo album in early 1978. ‘So Alone’ was a spirited mix of originals - including one of Thunders' signature tracks ‘You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory’ - and covers, among them The Shangri-Las’ ‘Great Big Kiss’ and surf rock instrumental ‘Pipeline’.
