This newly remastered compilation has been expanded to a 4CD/2Blu-ray Deluxe Edition. The set includes a second volume of The Collection with a further 14 singles from 1986 to 2024, alternative and unreleased versions. 10 newly created 80s style 12" Extended Versions which the band were known for, mixed by Midge Ure, Steven Wilson, Blank & Jones amongst others. A CD of all their B-sides and 2 Blu-ray discs with nearly 4 hours of footage featuring all their groundbreaking promotional videos with alternative versions and a collection of their appearances on BBC TV from Top of The Pops and live performances.
Ultravox’s 1984 best of compilation The Collection sold over 2 million copies worldwide, upon release, including 3x platinum in the UK. It gathers the band’s first 14 singles released between 1980 and 1984. most notable tracks including the iconic Vienna, anti-nuclear war anthem Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, new wave classic All Stood Still, along with Hymn, The Voice and Reap The Wild Wind and the single recorded for this compilation, Love’s Great Adventure.
This compilation has been newly remastered from the original masters and production tapes by AIR Studios and expanded to include 4CD’s with 57 audio tracks (with 19 previously unreleased).
CD1: the original 1984 compilation
CD2: a further 14 singles, alternative and unreleased versions from 1986 to 2024, entitled The Collection II.
CD3: includes 10 newly created 80s style 12” extended versions and re-mixes by Midge Ure, Steven Wilson, Blank & Jones amongst others
CD4: collates all the original B-side tracks.
The blu-ray discs include over 4 hours of footage featuring all their groundbreaking promotional videos, newly remastered in HD, alternative versions and a collection of their appearances on the BBC TV from Top of The Pops to Live performances.
