Elton John feierte am 25. März 2007 seinen sechzigsten Geburtstag im New Yorker Madison Square Garden vor rund 20.000 Fans. Mit dabei waren unter anderem Gäste wie Robin Williams und Whoopi Goldberg.
Während dieser 3-stündigen Show widmete sich Sir Elton John auch seinem alten Freund John Lennon, mit dem er im November 1974 schonmal auf der Bühne des Madison Square Gardens stand. Dieses Konzert sollte das letzte Beatles-Konzert vor der Ermordung von John Lennon sein.
